How to Add Extension to Chrome?
Chrome extension installation process is really easy, you need to follow these steps.
- Search and Open Chrome Web Store
There you will find thousands of extensions for the chrome browser, so first, you need to choose – which extension you want to install.
- Search and click on extension (Which you want to install)
When you search, click, and open a particular extension page, there you will see a lot of information about that extension, like the screenshot, reviews, No. of users, and so on.
- Click on “Add to Chrome” button
And immediately 1 alert box will be opened, It is just for confirmation, so you need to
- Click on “Add extension” button
That’s it, now you have successfully installed or Added a new extension on the chrome browser.
How to Manage Chrome Extensions?
Alright, now you know (How to install or add a new chrome extension), But as well as you also need to learn how to manage those extensions.
Managing extensions mean enable or disable or remove all the extensions (which are installed on your browser) in one place.
I know it’s a little bit confusing, Okay now let’s learn through a practical example of its usages.
Suppose you want to see all the extensions on one page or you want to disable a particular extension (Only disable, you don’t want to remove).
So how you can do these tasks? Okay, don’t worry – it’s really simple and easy, you just need to follow these steps.
- Type “chrome://extensions/” on browser extension
- Click on 3 Dot (On the top right side of the browser)
- Then hover on the “More tools” option
- And then click on “Extensions“
How to Remove Chrome Extensions?
There are 3 ways to remove the chrome extensions, By the way, it doesn’t matter how you remove them. So you can follow any way from those three ways.
First, you can remove it from Chrome Web Store, Just like how you had installed the extension last time.
When you open the extension page, there you will see the “Remove from Chrome” button instead of the “Add to Chrome” button. You just need to click on that.
2nd way is you can directly remove from the Chrome browser’s tab bar.
You may saw a small icon on the right side of the browser tab, so you just need to right-click on that icon and click on “Remove from Chrome”.
The last or 3rd one way is from the browser’s extensions page when you open “chrome://extensions/” their you will see two buttons with each and every extension, “Details” and “Remove”.
