Everyday we use the Internet. And everybody wants to protect himself from bad guys. And I am sure you also want to protect yourself and as much as possible want to make private your all the activities on the Internet.
At such a time you may have heard about the incognito mode from Google search or someone else mouth, But I saw many people have a lot of myths about it.
Today, in this blog post I am going to explain about Incognito mode in easy and simple words with as much as possible examples. And I will also clear many myths from many people’s heads.
What is the Incognito Mode?
Incognito means having one’s true identity concealed, it’s also called private browsing. That means you are using the internet privately.
It doesn’t mean, Nobody can see and track you. Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) still can see you and your activities.
They can’t see what messages you are sending or what videos you are watching, But they can see which website you are using and what time you used.
So what is private in Incognito mode? When you enable incognito mode, there is clearly mentioned, Browser only won’t save your browsing history, Cookies and site data, and information you entered on any forms.
If you open and use Facebook on Incognito mode, Browser won’t save your login information. That means when you close the browser everything will be gone.
Next time when you open Facebook on Incognito mode, Again you need to enter your login details. That’s the main purpose and use of incognito mode on any browsers, and No record on browser history.
If you don’t know how to enable incognito mode, I can teach you – it’s really easy. Now I am using chrome browser, in the top right side of the screen, you will see vertical 3 dots – click on this.
And there you will see (Incognito mode or Incognito Window) something like this. If you found then you just need to click on this, If you successfully entered on Incognito mode, you will see a screen like the above picture.
